Zaire Ryder

So, remember when I said I wasn’t going to finish that one rainbow Ryder piece? Heh-YEAH so uh, I was entirely wrong.rainbow ryder

This is the before that I made before and while it didn’t get finished, I figured that I should redo it since this was what gave me a whole new technique on how to color in skin. So, I did redo it. Most of it anyway, I refuse to redo that rainbow hair because I’m too proud of it and I love it the way it is……So I only made a few changes to it. But! That was mostly the lineart.rainbow ryder2.png

Assorted Doodles

I meant to post these a few days ago, but better late then never as they always say. ┬áIt started out as me just wanting to practice drawing the yugioh characters, and I somehow ended up drawing my own ocs again mixed in for some reason. So, I’m going to post the ygo pictures first and then the one with everyone just all thrown in the picture. Also, ignore that messed up looking Atem picture, I was going for horror and messed up the face. It happens.

Rainbow Ryder

That’s my nickname for her, but really her name is Zaire. She’s got rainbow hair pre-game and lived with her girlfriends on Omega before the game, and dyed her hair white. I figured I might as well show this one since it’s got color on it and I’m still working to get the stuff I drew in my sketchbook yesterday on the site so it doesn’t seem like a hiatus while I work on all the other stuff that I already showcased. This probably won’t be finished simply because I have no real motivation or long love for Mass Effect Andromeda like I do the original series but seeing it kinda makes me want to at least finish the hair.rainbow ryder.png

Airing out Old Art

In that last post, I talked about Zari’s old designs and I figured, what the heck? So, I’m just posting all the stuff that I did in the past, or at least all that I was able to salvage from old notebooks and such.

Yeah, Zari has red eyes and in the one picture with no hair, I just didn’t have the space to draw their locs out. Zari is perpetually tired due to the gang work and is the Saints bomb specialist. They used to be an assassin before the Saints and before Luana, and that was originally the main reason why they didn’t talk in the first game. Their locs in the beginning are entirely black, then later on in the game they dyed the tips of their hair purple, not because they were with the Saints, but because it was their favorite color before they joined the gang. Then they tried to dye their hair at home and got the mess that is the one colored shot of them in a beanie. Eventually, they mastered purple hair dye, but it took a lot of time and mess ups to get it right and perfect. The scars on their face, the one on their lip, left eye and left eyebrow all came from before the Saints in particularly nasty fight in juvie, the other two came later, after the boat explosion in Saints Row 2.

Zari Volkov

So, as I was going back and drawing Zari, since I’m drawing them in all of the games, I realized that a) their sense of fashion and clothes changes a lot, especially since I’ve played Saints Row 1 a few times and Saints Row 2 like over a hundred times, b) that they’re original story and designs tied into each other and changed when Lu was introduced (not that that’s a bad, thing. I love Luana, it’s just odd to see how different Zari was before Luana and Zari were integrated into the same universe), and c) I really need to write all this shit down somewhere so that I can actually properly keep track of it all. Anway, this is Zari’s full linework version for their clothes in Saints Row 1, just without color. I plan to release all of the versions of Zari at once with color and the separate lineart, just not yet.zari sr1

I still don’t know how to feel about that design change but, whatever. I’ll get around to coloring it once all the other versions are finished.

Pieces in Progress

So, I was going to post this yesterday, but then I was able to make a bit more headway on some other art and figured I’d post some of it separately so that the tag for certain things wouldn’t get clogged up early on. But! There are two pictures I’m posting today, the wip I have of a character for a dating sim that I’m working on, Maria Prudence, and soon I’ll have official lineart to work with when I start coloring it. Then a picture of Seto Kaiba from ygo because I wanted to draw him and all of his blue eyes white dragons. I quickly realized that is easier said than done, because Kaiba is all noodles I swear. And don’t even get me started on his ridiculous outfits and coats, it’s seriously a pain to draw. Probably because I have no practice drawing him or his outfit, but until then its still a pain. Also, who the heck just wears belts on their arms like that? It makes no sense, so I went with one of his earlier outfits.

Nova Shepard Finished

So, I managed to finish that picture that I started a few days ago and I really liked the colors that I had for the hair. I didn’t mean to make one of her hairstyles a sunset but I love it and I am really glad by all of the colors that I managed to put in for just hair.nova shepard1nova shepard

WIP Shepard

Well, this is obviously a work in progress, but I wanted to post this art because I really like how it’s turning out right now and how far it’s kind of coming along. Hence, why it still has the skeleton on one of the heads and why all the hair isn’t fully drawn in. I wanted to make a new Mass Effect OC because I’ve had Rosane and Altia for so long that I wanted fresh start. And what better way then to do that then by making a whole new character? >:3nova shepard
